This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

The Marketing Pit is a trading name of Aquapare Pty Ltd, based in Victoria, Australia. Questions about privacy go to hello@themarketingpit.com.

What we collect

• Enquiries: the details you type into the enquiry form (name, email, phone, business, country and message). They go into our customer system, HubSpot, so we can reply.
• Bookings: the details the booking page asks for when you book a 15-minute chat. These also go into HubSpot.
• Email: your address and anything you send us. Our email runs on Google Workspace.
• Site use: pages viewed, how you found the site, device and browser type, and rough location (city or country), through Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics. This doesn't tell us who you are.

How we use it

To reply to you, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to see which parts of the site are useful. We don't sell your details, share them for advertising, or add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code) that last up to two years, so it can tell new visitors from returning ones. If your device is set to a European time zone, analytics cookies stay off until you say yes. Cloudflare Web Analytics doesn't use cookies. Your cookie choice is remembered in your browser.

Google Analytics

Google processes site-use data for us. To see how, read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Where it is stored

HubSpot, Google and Cloudflare keep data on their own servers, which may be outside your country, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and emails: while we're dealing with you, and afterwards as part of our business records. Google Analytics data is deleted after 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@themarketingpit.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also object to how we use your data and complain to your local data protection authority. In Australia, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
